Google, Cruises, Finance, And Work

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

I love it and hate it when I finish my entire days work in less than an hour. I have nothing to do but sit and stare aimlessly at my computer, debating whether or not to ask my boss for something to do. It is usually about that time a stack of busy work ends up on my desk, and promptly gets completed, giving me time to once again stare blankly.

I decided the best way to achieve that state of mind would be to type random words into Google, and see where I wound up. I thought I would to start with something simple, so I chose to look up information on my company stock. This, of course, led me to many different websites, most of them completely irrelevant to my company, or stocks in general.

What is a forex indicator? Pages and pages of financial nonsense and I still didn’t have a clue. Plus clicking off all of the ads for me to meet singles in my area was making me a little nervous. I will never be able to figure out how these matchmaking sites now where I am located if they can’t even figure out that I am not looking for love connection.

Mission aborted and onto the next one. Shopping is always a fun diversion. A costly diversion but it will keep my mind off the mind numbing boredom. Our annual vacation is coming up and we each need a bathing suit and some vacation outfits. The trip to Mexico was bought on the cheap because we have a friend that is a travel agent.

I found a few shirts that I liked for him, and a few ties that I thought went well also, so I purchased one of each. I also found a couple of really nice men’s watches, and decided to get a basic yet stylish metal one for him to finish off his new outfit. I figured it would be perfect for him to wear when he took me out to dinner.

Maybe I would make him cook for me instead… He has not done that for awhile, because our dining room is rather empty right now. We just moved into a larger house, and need more furniture to fill it up, specifically our dining room. We’ve been looking at china cabinets, dining sets, and bars to fill it up, but haven’t found anything that has caught our eye yet.

It is amazing how much time you can waste throughout the day just by surfing the internet. It is definitely a good idea to get all of your work done beforehand, just in case your supervisor shows up.

Recognizing The Challenges Of The Building back links Game

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Several webmasters who have been following the discussions about Google’s dislike of paid out back links have been confused about what constitutes bad hyperlinks and good links, from the eyes in the search engine companies. In this content, I will seek to answer numerous in the questions men and women have on this topic.

Inside end, I suppose Google is not going to penalize the Source or Target internet sites for people one way links, but they will nullify the value with the individual backlinks inside Google algorithms. Cutts suggested and implemented the “rel=nofollow” a while back as a tool webmasters could use for that goal of identifying backlinks for which the webmaster did not wish to pass PageRank. The only factor that Google’s algorithm will basically do to back links identified as rented or paid out one way links is that it will treat people hyperlinks as “rel=nofollow’s”. If Google succeeds in their quest, the webmaster purchasing the links will likely be throwing away his or her cash, if they are acquiring placement on a webpage solely to the reason of influencing PageRank.

Of course, the Yahoo directory isn’t viewed being a paid out weblink through the Google engineers, because despite the fact that you “pay” to obtain the website link, Yahoo doesn’t guarantee placement of your website link in their directory. Instead, Yahoo says that we are paying them to “review our link.” This is why Google just isn’t discounting backlinks from the Yahoo directory. Those people Yahoo backlinks are nice to have, but they still do require a yearly review for commercial sites, which should be paid out for over a yearly basis.

In my experience, perhaps 10% in the website’s exactly where we get hyperlinks placed will go under inside a single 12 months. Towards the sacred email marketing secrets review conclusion on the second 12 months, webmasters will look at their Profit/Loss and make a determination whether or not their income level will justify shooting for a third year of operation. One more 20% will close their web site at the conclusion with the second year run. So, 30% will drop out of company, within their very first two years. Of the remaining 70%, numerous of those websites will survive to the fifth 12 months and beyond. I don’t know how lengthy a person will be in a position to count on the everlasting hyperlink just yet, but hyperlinks that I built for myself in 1999 continue to produce site visitors for my sites today, and individuals backlinks have sent me continuous site visitors for years.

Through the very nature of article marketing, we can make sure how the links we develop for our internet websites reside on net pages which are tightly focused and targeted to the content of our sites.

When we can get our keywords embedded into the website link pointing to our internet websites, then that’s always a much better deal. But, that outcome will be affected through the webmaster at the other conclusion with the practice. Every webmaster has his or her own rules for post placement, and some of all those folks merely don’t permit embedded keywords in our one way links, either in the body with the write-up or inside the about the author information. A plain text website link is far better than no weblink at all, even though we often strive to obtain embedded key phrases in our links.

As the article’s author, you’ll are in total control with the relevance in the website page linking to your internet site.

An additional method is to simply attach the advertisement to another companies emails so as to appeal to their client base.

As soon as that has been decided the electronic message and/or advertisement needs to be designed. The design depends on the goal, but the concept stays pretty similar. Once more, there has to be an attention grabber along with subsequently a properly drafted message. Furthering that though, with email marketing there has to be an appropriate assortment of links that are provided.

backlinks

Phew, this is a big subject and I need to emphasise it’s not clear cut. But here is what I know in my research at the Backlinks clinic:

Authority – simplified

The more authority your web pages have the better you will rank on Google. Authority means that searchers trust you and your content. The great news is that authorities trusted by humans are also trusted by Google. A good illustration is the .edu and .gov domain extensions. These domains imply they are trustworthy sources of content and it’s a proven fact that as far as Google is concerned backlinks from these web addresses to your site will contribute authority to your site. Another great example is Wikipedia as the web pages here are almost always added by by group of humans as opposed to a single marketer.

So it follows that authority is largely influenced by the source of your backlinks and if authoritative content link to your site then you receive their influence and in the eyes of Google you become more authoritative and so the trust in your content by Google goes up.

How Google determines what is and isn’t authoritative is a guarded secret for solid reasons and falls in line with Google’s philosophy of “Do no evil”. The last thing the net needs is someone manipulating the mechanisms that Google untilzes in its efforts to try and bring some order to probably the most important technological resource of this period in history.

Backlinking methods you should avoid

In the same vein it’s valuable to state some underhand sources and methods of creating backlinks that Google not only dislikes but appears to be acting to ‘’categorize as negative authorities. In no particular order of merit, the prime examples are:

  • Paid backlinks – web pages where people buy and sell backlinks
  • Comment spam – entries that contain links on blog pages that are just not related to the main content.
  • Low quality and *duplicate content – ‘scraped’ or otherwise
  • Rapid backlink growth – there are a myriad of ways that this is achievable, Google isn’t stupid. Any sudden rise in the number of backlinks is going to show up on Google’s monitoring systems, specifically if it’s a recently registered domain.
  • Backlinks from villainous web pages – these are particularly henous as you are guilty by association – need I say more.

*There is another factor where I may be on dodgy ground, but key news portals seem to get a lot of authority and I have definitely seen significant numbers of the same content over and over again on different web sites with no penalties, I am still monitoring this, only as some of the results I am seeing go against the normal behaviors I normally expect to see. More on this is in a future article….

backlinks

OK, this is a multi-faceted subject and I want to emphasise it’s not an exact science. But here is what I have learned in my research at the Backlinks clinic:

The more authority your site has the better you will rank on Google. Authority means that people trust you and your information. The great news is that authorities trusted by humans are also trusted by Google. A great example is the .edu and .gov domain extensions. These domains imply they are credible sources of content and it’s a proven fact that in the eyes of Google backlinks from these domains to your site will “pass on” authority to your site. Another shining example is Wikipedia as the web pages here are almost always contributed to by tribes of people as opposed to a single marketer.

So it follows that authority is significantly influenced by the source of your backlinks and if authoritative content link to your web pages then you receive their authority and as far as Google is concerned you become more authoritative and so the trust in your content by Google goes up.

How Google decides what is and isn’t authoritative is a guarded secret for good reason and aligns with Google’s thinking of “Do no evil”. The last thing the net needs is an individual or a group exploiting the methods that Google untilzes in its efforts to try and regulate probably the most significant technological development of our times.

Keyword Elite 2 – Make Money With These Techniques

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Web SEO PPC involves the method of improving your site for the search engines and using PPC selling to get centered traffic. SEO is search engine optimization and includes the use of keywords to get higher search engine rankings. PPC is also known as pay per click advertising or pay per click marketing. Both are combined with tools such as Keyword Elite 2

Pay per click selling is a crucial marketing tool. You pay so much for each click you get. Each click is a specific visitor to your site, and someone who could potentially purchase whatever it is that youre selling.

If an individual uses something they call web SEO PPC to help advertise their website and get traffic, they’re just combining good SEO with a PPC campaign. This combined Keyword Elite 2.0 approach offers the marketer different systems of generating traffic, and a better chance at excellent results.

For the SEO portion of web SEO PPC techniques, its important to choose the right keywords for your website. You can use more than one keyword per page, but its best to optimize one page for one keyword, at least initially.

Choose a keyword and optimize one internet page for that keyword. Be certain to use the keyword in the title of your page, in any headings, and if at all possible in the 1st line of your ordinary text. Try for a keyword saturation of around 1.5% or two percent. That implies the keyword makes up that proportion of all the words on the page.

You’ll be able to find tools online to determine that for you, like as Keyword Elite 2.0, or you can just count how often you use the key word in the text and divide that by the number of words. In a five hundred word page, using a keyword from five to 7 times will get you around 1.5% or 2% word density. Also, use the keyword in the HTML meta description tag.

Now you have used web SEO PPC to optimize your page for the search engines. Next, those self same keywords will often be good for the PPC part of your optimization. Be sure to use the keyword tools available at your pay per click companys website to help you find good keywords, too.

Google Adwords has a superb keyword tool, for instance. Using such a tool can also help you further optimize pages of your internet site. You may want to add some pages primarily based on keywords you find with the Adwords keyword tool.

Set your financial position, select your pay per click keywords and get started. After the search engines have the time to scan your newly optimized internet site, search on your keywords to see how high your internet site ranks. If you can get your internet site in the initial few results of the search engine, you may not need to buy pay per click advertising for that keyword anymore.

In that case, you can spend your PPC money on other keywords. Thats an example of using good web SEO PPC methods to maximise your sites exposure for really little cost in any way.
